Our time on this planet is limited, and I see no justification for dedicating any portion of it to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. This isn't because it ranks as the most dreadful film I've encountered, or even the worst of the year. Rather, it barely qualifies as a motion picture in the most superficial manner. It presents a narrative through moving images, albeit a disjointed one. Above all, it serves as a monotonous promotional piece for Nintendo's merchandise.
